Our Approach

What makes The Feeding Group unique is our team approach to feeding, which includes Registered Dietitian and Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist support. This allows us to provide a comprehensive approach to your child’s specific needs.

Breast and Bottle Feeding Support

This consultation includes a detailed feeding assessment with a Speech-Language Pathologist. You will receive simple but effective recommendations and strategies for you and your baby.

What to EXPECT

1. Schedule an Appointment

Book an appointment online or with our admin team. Prior to your appointment be sure to complete the online intake form.

2. Bring Relevant Items to Your Appointment

You will be asked to bring any feeding supplies you are using, such as: bottles, flanges, nipple shields.

3. Assessment

We will ask questions about medical history, feeding history, growth, feeding schedule and intake.

4. Feeding Observation

We will complete an oral motor assessment and observe your baby feeding.

5. Recommendations

We will provide recommendations to optimize your child’s breast or bottle feeding based on your goals and our assessment.

6. Suggested Follow-Up

If needed, we will recommend scheduling a follow-up appointment to support your baby.
